I stumbled across these three images recently and was captivated by them. They are attributed to Werner Bokelberg but, I haven't been able to find a copy of the magazine to confirm this yet. They are playful, and attract me in part the same way as the work of Ellen Von Unwerth. The staging, the interaction between model and photographer... the creation of fantasies. They are not particularly shocking, nor are they nudes. In this age of excess I find them intriguing because of it. Humans and our desires are complex... we are never just one thing. They are fleeting moments that would have made me look twice. They are images I wish I had taken.
